This dialog lists the imported surfaces. Basically, these surfaces are generated at model import. Additionally to that, each mesh stripping procedure generates one additional surface. The imported surfaces can not be edited, with the only exceptions being their stripped status and their names and notes.

While changing the stripped status of a surface is important for certain ProTOp procedures, the name and notes of an imported surface can be changed in order to be easier identified later when surface regions have to be defined.

NOTE. Some ProTOp procedures such as mesh smoothing and shape optimization run exclusively on stripped surfaces. This tool enables changing the stripped status of a particular surface.

To change the stripped status of a surface ...

1. Select the desired surface and click the Stripped toggle button.

To set surface name and notes ...

1. For the selected surface click in the Name column cell and type the desired name. Use the same procedure for the notes.
