This dialog handles FE mesh quality improvement. The engaged procedures are run on the active set of elements selected from the whole model. A particular element is included into the active set if its quality is lower than some prescribed threshold value.
NOTE. This tool is useful when dealing with a problematic mesh containing some singular or/and regular distorted elements. Such a mesh may result from various ProTOp procedures such as mesh stripping or shape optimization.
1. Click the Analyze button to get quality information of the mesh.
2. Set the operation parameters.
3. Select the active region options.
4. Select the node movement restriction options.
5. Click the Improve button to run mesh the improvement procedure.
NOTE. All changes done within this dialog become permanent only after exiting the dialog. Before exit, all these changes can be reversed by choosing the Undo all changes command from the Additional menu.
